The Board

Ian is a seasoned campaigner and policy specialist who brings over 15 years in-house and agency experience. He joined Consolidated in 2005 to head up our public and corporate affairs team whose clients now include the Audit Commission, BSI, Eurostar, Virgin Mobile, MTV, esure, and ABPI.

Ian has managed relations with policy-makers and policy-influencers for brands such as Shell, BT, British Gas, British Energy, GSK, Anglo American and De Beers. He also brings considerable not for profit and public sector experience from his time at National Council of Voluntary Organisations and World Vision UK and from his work with former clients the Environment Agency, EST, WRAP and the National Archives.

He is an energy, environmental and Corporate Responsibility (CR) expert who established and still Chairs recycling charity TRAID and has recently taken over as Chair of the Climate Clinic.

Currently Ian provides corporate and CR counsel to Consolidated clients across teams. Previously he was Head of Social Policy at British Gas and at former agency Hill and Knowlton he set up the CR practice following on from his time as UK Issues Adviser for Shell International.
